About Us
Jerald Pearson
Jerald D. Pearson is a native of the Northwest, where he graduated from Issaquah High School in 1964. After graduation, Jerry worked for Boeing for a short time, and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps infantry and proudly served from 1965 to 1968.  Then Jerry worked for the United States Postal Service while attending school full time and starting his family.

Jerry studied business, economics and English literature at the University of Washington and graduated in 1974. He graduated from Brigham Young University Law School in 1977, garnering nationwide honors for his trial skills. He has been practicing law since 1977, first in Arizona, and then in Washington, specializing in personal injury claims and litigated matters.

Jerry has worked on different and challenging subject matters such as injury and deaths associated with chemical explosion, playground design, unsafe industrial product design and use, serious injury from electrical devices and supply, and auto crashes.  Clients routinely speak of his passionate commitment to them and his guidance through confusing insurance and litigation obstacles.

Jerry is admitted to practice law in Washington and in Arizona, and practices before State and Federal trial and appellate courts. He is an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Washington State Association for Justice, Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, American Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Michele Pearson
Originally from New York State, Michele had dreamed of a legal career from a young age. For a time, circumstances brought her instead to work at several large corporations and advertising agencies, including one that she owned. Before leaving corporate America to return to school, Michele worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft, often in management positions requiring oversight, shepherding and presentation of complex long term projects, not unlike the practice of law.

She attended the University of Washington and received her degree in Comparative History of Ideas (Major: Intellectual History; Minor: History) and for part of that time studied in Rome, Italy. While at UW, Michele created and taught a 2-credit course for "law school bound" undergrads. Michele graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2002 while working at the law firm. After bar admission, she immediately began to litigate. Early excellent results, against experienced defense teams, illustrate Michele's tenacity and advocacy even early on.

Now, she concentrates on writing, research, training, and presentation of the firm within both the legal and wider community focusing on the needs of vulnerable youth and the elderly.  She has a long history of volunteerism often on behalf of the underprivileged. She co-taught WSAJ's "Peoples Law School" at Bellevue College in 2003, served as the WSAJ “Trial News” Editor in Chief from 2005-2007, during which she also served on the WSAJ Board of Governors, and now contributes as one of the “Trial News” editorial board members. She has recently been asked to join the board of the Partnership for a Rural King County and looks forward to putting her private commitment to the environment into community outreach programs.

She is an active member of numerous professional associations, including the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ), American Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Testimonials

"Jerry and Michele helped me through a fight for compensation when I had been poisoned by food at a conference in Seattle.  It took a long time, but they kept on working and learning.  My co-workers and I finally accepted a settlement, but without Michele, in particular, I don’t know what would have happened."

Nancy F., Columbia Falls, MT

"I was badly injured and when I started to work with Jerry, I found that he knew legally what had to happen, but he also really tried to lift my spirits, encourage me over a long course of treatments, and I greatly appreciated his professionalism and kindnesses."

Barry C., Seattle, WA

"I liked that The Pearson Law Firm was family owned and run, it made me feel better, probably because I have my own family and it was nice to know they helped one another.  I called the law firm because I tried to work things out with the insurance company for three years. I was badly hurt in a rear end car crash, that was not my fault. If I had known right after the accident that it would be so hard, I would have called the Pearsons right away."

Angie H., Puyallup, WA

"I talked to other firms, but when I met Michele, and talked to Heather, I knew I had the right team, finally.  They have done everything they promised, and they are very professional."

Shawnee A., Kirkland, WA

"Jerry worked with me all the way up and through a long trial, which was successful because the jury realized that a defective product could have been made so it wouldn’t fail.  I don’t know how we could have found a better lawyer, someone who is our lawyer for life."

John M., Everett, WA

"Michele was recommended to me just as she was finishing law school, and she and Jerry did a wonderful job on a case for my husband who became increasingly ill during the litigation, and then eventually died.  That was many years ago, and I still recommend Michele and Jerry to anyone I know who needs legal help."

Betty H., now living in PA.

"My husband and I and the rest of our whole family thank you all for your professionalism, expertise, and all of the generous time you devoted to my case.  A special thanks to Jerry who started this process, and allowed his staff to work far beyond what we expected.  We will be indebted to you all forever."

Nita W., Seattle, WA
